I participated in the latest Coverfight with many other Songfighters. We had our choice of covering an old country song or a Devo song.
I did Elvira by the Oak Ridge Boys. It was a lot of fun.

oh, that was just me. being more forgetful than anonymous.
man, i loved your version of Elvira. i’ve always had a soft spot for that song as i grew up in virginia and it was played to death when it came out (and it’s still revered). it’s just such a dumb silly song and putting the starfinger touch on it was great to hear. long live the oak ridge boys. it’s a marriage made in heaven. or hell.
