I’m planning to return to graduate school for a PhD in Computer Science.
It’s a ways off — I’m past all the application deadlines for this year, and I have yet to see a program that accepts new doctoral students in the Spring, so it will be starting in Fall 2006.
Nevertheless, I am excited. This has been percolating in the back of my mind ever since I left Tulane, and I recently realized that if I don’t do it, I’ll regret it for the rest of my life.
I don’t know where I’m going to apply yet, and more importantly I don’t know precisely what I want to study, but I am exploring options, and I’m quite sure I want to do something with a strong theoerical/mathematical aspect.
I have faith that I have God’s blessing in this endeavor, and he will lead me to the right course of study.
I will keep you posted.
Cool! Texas A&M has a pretty good program, at least according to Lydia. I don’t know if SMU has a good one. There are lots of schools in Texas…
I’ve often debated going back to school but so far the school side has not won.
