Another Boardgame Post

The aftershock of my birthday hit us last night, as several of my birthday-money purchases arrived in the mail. Of relevance to the title of this here blog entry, the three board games I ordered from funagain.com showed up, and we played them all. Each one is splendid, and they are all very unique: Lost Cities, Samurai and Torres.

I’d describe them in more detail, but those links are good, and I have to leave.

Bye!

Birthday in Review

Well, yesterday I turned 30. It was a great weekend! My wife got me the board game Maharaja, which is quite intense and very fun, and also the Traders & Builders expansion for Carcassonne. My brother got me Katamari Damacy for the PS2 — this game is fantastic, and it haunts me when I close my eyes.

Uh what else… I updated Ableton Live to version 5, and had a new tattoo finished.

I spent most of my birthday money at funagain.com, buying 3 more board games: Torres, Samurai and Lost Cities. I also grabbed Autechre: Untilted and Jamie Lidell: Multiply with an Amazon.com gift certificate.

Lastly, we had an excellent sushi dinner with some good friends from church. They gave me the Barnes&Noble gift card that is now burning its way through my wallet, searing my butt cheek.

Weinermobile!

For those of you that only view this through the rss feed, you should be aware that I was privileged to see the weinermobile in action over the weekend. It has been somewhat documented with my cameraphone, and appears to the right of the weblar homepage.

You can also see it on the cameraphone blogspot page. (note that it too has an rss feed).
